Printing Help

Below are frequently encountered questions on printing and how to achieve optimal print Summaries:

• Landscape Orientation *Required
• Shrink to Fit *Required
• Reduce Margins *Required in Internet Explorer 6 (IE6)
• View Background Colors *Recommended

Landscape Orientation - The MIB MarketTracks are set up to support Landscape Orientation only, due to the size of our Trial Designs and Trial Results. Please set the page orientation to Landscape (Horizontal) as opposed to Portrait (Vertical - default) in your browser:

• In Internet Explorer 6
• Click "File" on the Title bar
• Click "Print Preview"
• Click the "Page Setup" button, which is on the right side of the "Print..." button in the top left corner
• In the bottom left of this box, a section is labeled "Orientation" - Select Landscape instead of Portrait


• In Internet Explorer 7
• Click “Print Preview”
• Click the "Page Setup" button, which is on the right side of the "Print..." button in the top left corner
• In the bottom left of this box, a section is labeled "Orientation" - Select Landscape instead of Portrait


• In FireFox 2 & 3
• Click on “File”
• Click “Page Setup…”
• Under “Format” on the main “Format & Options” tab, select Landscape instead of Portrait

Shrink to Fit - To make sure that the page fits correctly, please allow the page to “Shrink to Fit” on your browser. It should do this by default when you click “Print” for any page, but if pages are not printing correctly then please do the following:

• In Internet Explorer 6
• Please see the Margins section below - Internet Explorer 6 does not have the "Shrink to Fit" feature and requires Margins to be set to 0"


• In Internet Explorer 7
• Click “Print Preview”
• Make sure that the drop down box that allows you to change the % of scaling says “Shrink To Fit”
• Click “Print Document”


• In FireFox 2 & 3
• Click on “File”
• Click “Page Setup…”
• Under “Format” on the main “Format & Options” tab, select “Shrink To Fit Page Width”

Margins - To make sure that the page fits correctly, or if you want to you view the pages at 100% Scaling without using “Shrink to Fit” then you will need to set your Print Margins to 0 on all sides of the page, please set the margins to 0":

• In Internet Explorer 6
  • Click "File" on the Title bar
  • Click "Print Preview"
  • Click the "Page Setup" button, which is on the right side of the "Print..." button in the top left corner
  • In the bottom right of this box, a section is labeled "Margins (inches)" - Set each of these to "0"
  
  
• In Internet Explorer 7
• Click “Print Preview”
• Click the "gear" icon, the 4th from the left, that is labeled "Page Setup"
• In the bottom right of this box, a section is labeled "Margins (inches)" - Set each of these to "0"
• The lowest the margins may go is 0.166" - This will work fine


• In FireFox 2 & 3
• Click on “File”
• Click “Page Setup…”
• Change the tab to the “Margins & Page Header” tab
• Set each Margin to 0
• If you wish to display the number of pages and the date/time they were printed, leave a 0.5" margin on the bottom

Background Colors - If you want to view the background colors, you will need to adjust your Browser Printing settings. All browsers are set to display no backgrounds by default so you will need to adjust this if you wish to do so:

• In Internet Explorer 6 & 7
• Click on “Tools”
• Click “Internet Options”
• Click the “Advanced” tab
• Scroll down to the “Printing” (“Settings: Printing” in IE6) section
• Make sure the check box is checked that is labeled: “Print background colors and images”


• In FireFox 2 & 3
• Click on “File”
• Click “Page Setup…”
• Under “Options” on the main “Format & Options” tab, select “Print Background (colors & images)
